We countenance the killing of babies with the rationale that somehow the dismembered bodies of dead children might bring forth research that could save future babies.
I’m outraged by the idiot who killed Cecil the Lion, and I’m sure you are too. People on the Right, Middlin’ and Left are disgusted at this senseless killing of a magnificent and iconic big cat. But I’m perplexed that the same people who identify as progressives, liberals and Democrats are sniffing their noses at the astonishingly horrific revelations surfacing about Planned Parenthood’s slaughter and sale of tiny human babies.
Where is the consistency of conscience?
America, indeed the world, is suffering the spiritual effects of tolerating, for decades, the legal, government-subsidized extirpation of millions of human children. Conservatives have become inured to it, comforting themselves with the thought that, “well, the people involved with abortion will have consequences, but there’s nothing I can do to stop them.”
The few organizations that have actively rallied against abortion are often snubbed by those on the political Right because, after all, “we want to focus on taxes and the economy and national security, because those social issues are just too darn difficult to address.”
Wake up America. Pay attention to the way YOUR MONEY is going to perform abortions on, sometimes desperate women, rip apart their unborn babies, and sell the parts of those little boys and girls in the name of “medical research.” We countenance the killing of babies with the rationale that somehow the dismembered bodies of dead children might bring forth research that could save future babies.
Cecil the Lion did not deserve to die. But nor do the countless millions of unborn human children which die globally because of the numbness of conscience we have allowed to spread, beginning in 1973. If you consider yourself a person of faith, or just a conservative Republican, now is the time to take a firm stand against this savagery.
Let’s start by calling our congressmen today and defunding Planned Parenthood’s killing mills.
