The Hayek App: It beeps an alarm signal when you have gone too far down the road to serfdom.
Millenial Libertarians, most of whom have sound moral instincts, are disgusted with politics as usual, and they resent the damage to our economy and culture brought on by the Baby Boomers; in particular the massive growth and repressive nature of governing bodies. Their primary political philosophy is based simply on the desire to live free without government constantly in their business.
There is a dangerous myth circulating around the Net that Mitt Romney lost because he was not “conservative enough”, that millions of Republican voters supposedly stayed home on Election Day, and that the way to win future elections is to nominate “the most conservative candidate”. Any GOP problems with women, youngsters, and minorities are being explained away by claiming that “better communication of conservative principles” will solve everything.
But all of these claims are wrong. In this article, I will show you why Mitt Romney really lost the election, and how Republicans can win future elections.
My years in education, most of which were spent in Special Education, have given me a window of understanding into the minds of emotionally underdeveloped Democrats and Liberals–that sounds funny but it’s true. Joe Biden exhibits all the developmental anomalies common to many, not all, on the Left.
The Western Slope Conservative Alliance cannot support CPAC Colorado until Khan and Norquist are asked to resign from their positions in the ACU. It is only fair that we let you know that other Conservative groups in Colorado will receive a copy of this letter, along with a note which urges them to take similar action to ensure that the ACU and CPAC have eschewed their ties with and support of individuals connected to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Like the emerging butterflies struggling from their rigid chrysalises, the GOP candidates are not fully developed, nor sufficiently strong to survive on their own. The Tea Party, by flexing its muscle and helping a particular candidate along, may weaken and kill the butterflies that needs to prove themselves through their initiatory challenges upon entering the world. The candidates must be proven, with the one most fit to weather the harsh environment of politics, emerging by his own power.
That is because our minds, in assessing the crisis of liberty in our time, are drawn back to the conditions of our centuries-old Founding, and the glorious inception of a new and free nation. But we are not like the Founders. We are not the midwife helping along the birth of a republic. We are the physician presiding over the greatest nation in the world as it languishes in spasms of dying; beset with moral disease, and the dementia of age wherein it has forgotten for what purpose it was born. We have failed to check the health of the best example of government of the people, for the people and by the people, yet remaining upon the face of the earth. The toxins of socialism and secularism have infected its members, and it is quickly failing.
In other words–hold onto your butts kiddos–some Conservatives are guilty of censoring the language of others so that their feelings are protected. They are the CPC, the Conservative Politically Correct.
We don’t really want to kill the zombies of the GOP, we just want to give them back their souls. We need every living conservative to win in 2012. Another loss to Obama would make the Zombie Apocalypse look like a Tea Party picnic.
The American flag possesses a power that transcends mere politics. It has become the brazen serpent on the pole. If simply viewing the flag, without preconception or agenda, has the power to turn the hearts of people to more conservative, more American values, then it has the power to heal our nation
