Ziggy: Exposing the “Sequestration is Just a Cut in the Rate of Growth” Lie

Posted by in National Defense, National Security

Sequestration, for those not yet familiar with it, is an automatic process whereby the discretionary portion of the federal budget (but not the mandatory portion, i.e. not entitlements or debt interest) will be significantly and automatically cut – and by far the heaviest cuts, over 60% of the total, will fall on the defense budget.

Ziggy: Rebuttal of John T. Bennett’s and DefenseNews’ Blatant Lies and Biased Reporting

And the empirical evidence is that ENTITLEMENTS, not the military, are the programs Washington overspends on. Posted by in 2012 Elections, 2012 President, National Defense, National Security

ZIGGY REBUTS RICK MORAN’S ATTACK ON REPUBLICANS

Posted by in 2012 Elections, National Defense, National Security

The US Constitution is designed in such way that if both parties control a branch of the federal government, or if control of the Congress is split between the two parties, then, as Glenn Kessler rightly noted last year – neither side can forever insist on nonnegotiable demands.

ZIGGY: WHY DEFENSE SEQUESTRATION MUST BE REPEALED

Posted by in National Defense, National Security

What can I do to stop sequestration from happening?

Contact your Congressman and Senators and tell them that you want Washington to fulfill its duty to protect the country and to stop sequestration. Tell them that if they fail, you will never vote for them again and will tell all your friends to vote likewise. If enough citizens speak up, they will listen.

ZIGGY: DEFENDING THE USAF’S 5th GENERATION FIGHTERS

But this would still mean that the F-35A will have a far longer combat radius than the B and C models as well as most of the short-range strike aircraft operated by the US military, the sole exceptions being F-111s, A-6s, and A-7s.
