When I was a cute little chick I had a lot of hopes and dreams. The other animals in the barnyard were important to me and so I tried to include them in those hopes and dreams. You know I love to bugaaawwwk! I mean bake. My dream was to have an endless supply of flour to bake beautiful bread and cakes and cookies.
As beneficent as it sounds to create showcases of collective “healing,” such public displays–complete with remarks by politicians and agendas formulated by various advocacy groups–find their true purpose in chronically opening old wounds to revive political issues. In the cases of Aurora, Newton, and Columbine, the issue is gun control.
The Left speaks of “shared sacrifice,” which, to them means, that those who earn give of their property to support those who, for whatever reason, fail to earn. It is euphemistic for Collectivism, and because one must lose to another, with wealth being moved around but never created, this form of “sacrifice” is a lose, lose proposition.
