Another question is how many thousand$ of dollar$ did the Forest Service spend to accomplish this devastation? This appears to be a complete misuse of public funds.
Those acres not destroyed by fire are now falling victim to disease and pestilence. It is estimated that 85 percent of the pine tree stock in the Sierra National Forest is dead or dying.
The moths and bugworms won’t recognize jurisdictional boundaries. If the federal government won’t treat the largest single portion of the infected region, tree-killing bugs are likely to migrate into neighboring properties.
We have to send a message to the Forest Service and the Northeast Washington Forestry Coalition that people’s lives, homes, properties, and livestock are more important than an ideology.
